4How does the Incident Response/Forensics process work?
This can vary on a case-by-case basis. In a general sense, this process starts with a initial call to understand the circumstances and best understand what role VIRTUS can take since these events are very team oriented. Then we work towards scoping the priorities depending on the current stage of the event (such as containment or recovery). Then we take clear action to achieve the agreed upon goals and expected outcomes.
5A long-form penetration test sounds great. Will this benefit my organization?
Threat actors in the wild do not care about scopes, statement of works, reporting, testing exclusions, or timeframes. A long-form penetration test is really the only way to truly test your organization over a longer period of time. We still take the time to scope the targets for approval (boring legal stuff) and a set length of time but we come to agreement with a longer time frame for a specific set of testing to be performed (web application, social engineering, black box, white box, etc.). Throughout the process there is regular communication and updates.
